My emphasis has always been on training 1-1 with dog and owner + family. This is where everyone can learn the best, and I put a lot of emphasis on teaching humans to speak dog the same way I train dogs to understand English cues. By beginning with a private sessions package, you can skip the frustration of a group class that moves too fast, too slow, repeats material you already know, skips material you really need, and just focus on fun and teamwork.

From there, I do offer some limited group classes. My Tricks Class and CGC Class are both very popular when I have enough folks interested at the same time. My obedience class I have rolled into a pack walk. My experience is that most owners don’t really struggle with teaching their dog obedience cues, that is fairly simple and straightforward; they struggle with making it reliable around exciting things like other dogs, people, bikes, kids running around, and the whole world of critters and smells.
All 1-1 services come with a continuously updated Google Doc for thoroughly detailed homework notes. DaySchool Practice Training includes video updates.

Private Behavior Modification Sessions
Behavior Modification isn’t just for aggressive dogs who have bitten people or other animals. It’s for dogs who struggle with moderate-severe separation anxiety, sound phobias like thunderstorms and fireworks, reactivity on walks (barking, lunging, growling, staring & freezing, etc.) or allowing people into the home (more territorial), barrier frustration and barking at everyone out of a fence or window, general hypervigilant and paranoid states, and so much more. My approach is positive and scientific, and includes counter-conditioning protocols alongside gradual desensitization. Think of this like doggie psychotherapy. Every dog’s experience is unique, even if their symptoms are similar, so I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach for any behavior mod case. My focus is on emotional regulation, healing the nervous system, and addressing the holistic body and mind of the dog through physical health, pain evaluation, diet, exercise, training, and even forms of energy work when clients are open to it and I feel it is applicable.

While I may recommend supplements and even medications as part of your dog’s behavior modification plan, please note that I am NOT a veterinarian, and I cannot prescribe medication like a board-certified behavioral veterinarian can. Think of them like psychiatrists, and I am a psychologist with a master’s in canine behavior & wellness from an accredited university. Do not be duped by supposed “dog trainers” claiming to be “behaviorists” with no formal education and unregulated certifications by for-profit organizations.

PACT Training Pack Walks & Specialty Group Classes
While we practice all the skills in my obedience training private sessions, we will also honor thresholds so mild-moderately reactive dogs can join, too. This is an excellent way to bridge socialization with manners, by having the structure of a class with the real-feel of a public trail.

My Tricks classes and CGC classes allow owners to pursue applicable, progressive titles in each through either AKC or Do More With Your Dog — I am certified with both organizations. CGC titles are essential for therapy dog certifications and great practice for service-dogs-in-training. Trick titles are an excellent outlet for bonding with your dog, improving obedience through fun interactions and learning, and draining a highly intelligent dog’s mental energy through novelty and a “job."

DaySchool Practice Training
A lot of my clients are too busy to do all the homework their dog needs, especially if there is a deadline for training completion. Sometimes, it makes a lot of sense for me to do the homework, especially if my clients are going out-of-town and don’t want the progress to halt or backtrack.

In 30min sessions 1, 2, or 3 times per week, I will go to your home and work on whatever we’ve discussed in a private session. I do require at least 1 private session before enrolling in a DaySchool Training program, as well as at least 1 private session after to ensure the owners can follow through on what the dog and I have accomplished.

*Please note: Dogs with human-aggression, including severe territorial aggression, are not suitable candidates for this type of program.
